I'm novice to perl. how do I access variable defined in other perl file in same directory?

so I have one.pl where $x and $y are defined. Now in two.pl, I'm trying to use x and y. I'm getting error Global symbol requires explicit package name. can some shed some light?

Have you read the related perl docs?

perldoc -f do
perldoc -f require
perldoc -f use
