Hey, I have almost no knowledge about programming and I have an old dos file that I need to "break" into. The company that made the software is of course out of business and I can't get the file to run. It now gives some copyright message when it worked fine yesterday. The file name is process.exe I would appreciate any advice or help.

Jim Bob's tip won't work, as when you run DOS programs from Windows, it starts a shell for you, so it's the same whether to run it from Windows and from DOS. However, if it is an old program, you could try these two things:
1. Try changing your machine's date to a few years ago to see if process.exe works. 2. Try using a CPU slowdown program. I've found that some old progs won't run on very fast computers until you make 'em run slower.
