i want to learn to program...but at this time i cant take a course...so i want to learn as much as i can at home...is this possible?..where do i start...i took some visual basic freshman year...i'm now a junior..but too late to swY majors...thanks in advance

sure its possible. I am currently learning C++ at home and learned Java the same way. All you need for that is a book (or online tutorial) to show you the basic syntax and some time and creativity once you figured out the syntax. Try everything you learn out right away through making a small program (even if they do nothing usefull).

well what i mean..is.i get tutorials sometimes..but i'm unsure of which ones to get..and it seems like everyone i get..requires me to have the program language software...(c++ decompiler)...could someone give me some tutorial to start with...i learned a few basic commands 2 years ago like "if 5=6, print 5".things like that...where do i go from there?... visual basic 6.0.then java than c.then c++?...trying to learn because some ppl think i dont know that much about computers

try to get hold of as many languages as possible, legal or illegals I don't care. and see which one is most suitable for you.
I'm current learning Delphi 7 with a book written for Delphi 3. Having tried java, perl and Python and stuff, I think Delphi is a lot easier. better? maybe.
