Specs: Microsoft xp, Toshiba, Equium
Hi all this should be quite a simple fix or im hoping it is anyway, ok here is the problem up until yesterday I could open up notepad 5.1 with my (Toshiba) (Equium) crap yes I no, anyways when im writting some .bat or .vbs in in batch scripts to get my friends with "for fun no wrong doing" im doing what I always did write the commands e.g "@echo" etc.. save as File Name picture.bat, Save As Type Text Documents or All Files neither helps, Encoding as told by the writter normaly ANSI, I do this so all codes written and files saved so its on my desktop with the little picture, now here lies the real problem i'll send it and my frien will say huh theres nothing there so I click it and as quick as a flash you get the "cmd.exe" black box in background pops up and vanishes and it does not work. On the cmd.exe is says the following at the top c:\windows\system32\cmdexe I think there is something that I have changed which is causing this and not letting me send my popup or fake viruses to my friends any help would be fantastic, anways im spent so hope to get a quick response. :)

P.S One thing I notised the other day was my letter fon changed so I googled it and found the default was Lucida Console with font style Regular and also size 10 not sure if this would matter, also my notepad on my Notepad 5.1 is programmed into my computer and can get to it through Run etc.. mabe if I can delete it and download it again it might help, I did try this and got rid of it from my computer and could not locate it anywhere else other than the Run but notised I could not get rid of it from there.

P.P.S I always send these to friends as attach files through MSN and Skype attach file and send it's always worked before, but now no joy I am sure it's something to do with the file being saved to something wrong such as cmdexe or something.
