iexplore.exe is a small program which doesn't do much besides call a dll. So you'll need a set of dll's to get it working. I thought internet explorer was one of the easiest to download since microsoft tries to make it automatically happen.

I'm trying to get it to happen too, but just wanted to let you know, my iexplore.exe disappeared this morning. Two days ago, I discovered a WORM: i.e. infected with W32magistr.24876@mm
I 'fixed' it the first day, the 2nd day - yesterday, it appeared in 2 more files and this time I deleted it. Then other things started happening. In the process I lost iexplore.exe
I tried downloading IExplore 6.0 and it stopped somewhere about 64%....then I cancelled that, and now it is sitting there telling me not to reboot pc because it could harm my system.
In any case, I'm not sure WHAT to do next! So I'll just try downloading iexplore 6.0 tonight whilst everyone is napping! Check out that WORM - in case he's messing you up too.

if u need iexplore.exe, u can extract it from windows disc if u r using windows 98/Me
For extracting the file: START--RUN....in the run box, type--SFC on the System File Checker window select extract one file. type in Iexplore.exe in the filename box. In the extract file from box type in X:\win98(me) and in the restore location type--c:\windows\system
