Hey I am a 17 year old with nothing to do, and I wanted to make a text adventure. At a certain point the batch file can no longer support any more text. SO it's easy to solve this to have the batch start up the next part in the game. But when I start a new batch file I want to carry over the character's selected name. So is there a way I can make a name, echo it in to a text file then retrieve it using another batch file then echo it back out? I know it sounds complex, but it sounds fun. And I am up for learning new stuff.

Batch variables are stored in the environment block, and that block is passed on to any child processes. So long as your first script calls the second script, no effort is necessary.
