hi guys, i'm a new learner of programming and currently going thru vb.net. i'm working on a windows app which requires to have a user login and password authenticated which are alraedy stored in the sql server 2000. i have taken an oledbdataadapter and established a connection with the server. also i've created a dataset and filled it with the required fields. the problem i'm having is in writing the code to authenticate. i've tried taking datatable, datarow and datacolumn and created there objects . then i tried to store the value of the username and pass in the form in string variables and compare them with those in the dataset. but i cudn't do so. please help me out with this one. i'll be grateful if u write the required code for the purpose thanks a lot
