Need advice on PHP Programming: The Basics training

Specs: Windows 7

I'm in qa analyst/manager since 7years want to move to proagramming side, my client uses php so thought to learn php to get help here.
i have zero programming knowledge, to learn basic php do i have to learn anything before this?
please advice?

PHP is a fairly simple language. Start by setting up a LAMP stack or whatever your client is running and get a good book on PHP.
