my program doesn't show up in recommended programs

Specs: Windows 7, Intel Xeon e5640 2.66 GHz/ 48 gig
The program I want to associate with a certain file type isn't showing up in the recommended programs. Also, when I browse for it, it doesn't make the association. The program I'm trying to associate it with starts with a .bat file.

The .bat file works fine, it's trying to associate a file type, in this case a file with an extension of .vcproject, to open with the .bat file. I'm using a software called Vericut and apparently there are reports that this happens sometimes. Some users have the problems and other's don't. I'm trying to see if there is something I can do to fix it for those of us that DO have the problem.

Read the Vericut release notes and check the Support link at the Vericut web site. You should find your answer in one of those places.

I've already discussed the problem with CGTech tech support. They are the ones that said that some people have the problem and others don't. So I don't waste anyone elses time... I've pretty much done my due diligence on this problem... that's why I've posted it online. If you don't have the solution or need any other information please don't waste your time replying. Thanks.
