mbr clenup / dual boot pgm

my original os is WinMe i installed Win2K
and somehow my mbr was configured with a dual boot program, everything seemed to be fine then i uninstalled 2k and the "dual boot" program in my MBR is still there , I would like to clean out the dual boot from the mbr so my machine will boot quicker, I tried booting with a sys disk and running fdisk/mbr and nothing happened ? I could sure use help on this, Thank You.

Boot with the Windows 2000 installation CD
Press R to "Repair a Windows 2000 installation"
Then press C to enter the Recovery Console
Type the command: fixmbr

Try to boot the system from ME boot disk.And try to copy ur system files from floppy to primary partition (C:)by sys command.
And again try to reboot ur system.Now u will not find any boot option.
Try this!
