Is there a way to make mp3's smaller by changing to a different format? I have seen some wav files that had full length songs and only about a fraction of the jpg's size.
The wav's are here that I am talking about:

you can leave in as an mp3 file, and lower the quality, or convert it to a wmv, which will also lower the quality most likely. If you have Nero installed, theres a program that comes with it called nero WaveEditor which i really like. If you dont though...go here...

thats a pretty good program that compresses your MP3's and leaves them in MP3 format. Keep in mind that you have to change where it says *** kpbs to lower than what the original bit rate is if you want the file to be smaller. If you WANT to convert to WAV's go to
http://www.mp3fe.com/download.htm#mp32wav
and use that program. Hope this helps.
Dave.

sorry i was just goin over what i said...dont mind all of that...go to the first link i said...

its a good program. you can convert mp3's to mp3s of lower quality, and mp3's to wavs.
Just change the quality before converting or compressing...if you want pretty good quality and pretty good compression...try 128 kbps...if you want more compression and dont care for quality at all, make the track MONO and about 48 or 64 kbps.Dave.

Thanks Dave,
Wasn't sure where to put the question so I just opt for programming. After I didn't get an answer I then placed in in the Windows forum.
