Make selection in list box show message in label

I was wondering if there was a way to make a message show in a label box whenever you clicked an option in a list. Example; list has version numbers for the program, Click Version 0.1 > label show's the changes made in Version 0.1 I know very little about VB, I had a class in college over 3 years ago and it was and introductory course. My book is out dated as well and doesn't offer any help on this. I'm using Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate.
