looking for a program for inventory

Ok I'm looking for a software program for work, I can buy for out maintaince group. to inventory parts link them to equipment and have parts location and with vender info is there shuch a program out there or can someone tell me a source that can build one for me. Thanks for helping Russ

If you keep the UI basic, then it's an easy enough program to write yourself using something like basic or c/c++. If you require more visual, then you'd need something more like VB, VC, or applicable to your OS.
However, I would suspect that there are many such programs available. Have you tried looking at download.com?

What you may be looking for is an ASSET management program, not an inventory program. Or try a vehicle maintenance program. There are free ones or demo versions available on the net.
