Login script printer install failing

Specs: Windows XP
I have the following in my login script, logging progress at login0.log. I left out the IP detection routine as well as other subnets, as that's all working fine. I'm not using printui.dll because I don't want the "Installing printer..." popup every time.

>"%USERPROFILE%\installprinter.vbs" echo Set objNetwork = CreateObject("WScript.Network")
>>"%USERPROFILE%\installprinter.vbs" echo objNetwork.AddWindowsPrinterConnection Wscript.Arguments(0)

set installprinter=cscript //nologo "%USERPROFILE%\installprinter.vbs" \\servername

>>"%USERPROFILE%\login0.log" echo Installing Lab Color printer...
>>"%USERPROFILE%\login0.log" echo Installing Lobby printers...
>>"%USERPROFILE%\login0.log" echo Installing Lab printer...
goto end

On login, none of the printers are installed. In my login0.log, I get "Installing Lab Color Printer," and nothing else. If I run the login script manually after logging in, everything works fine.

If your VBS is choking on something, you're not catching the error (or any script output, actually). Try capturing the error stream as well (tack on 2>> yourLog).

That said, make sure your print server has the drivers your client requires.

Definitely not a server thing... If I run the script manually after login, everything works fine.

I changed cscript to wscript, and it seems to have fixed it, but I get weird doubled lines in my login.log file. The problem's always been kinda intermittent, so it'll need more testing to see if it's really fixed.
