Hi,
im very new to linux environment and trying very hard to get use to it.

im having this problem with Red hat Linux 9. it does not play any mp3 or mpg files whereas in Linux 7.3 it did.
plz help me fix this problem.

I dont know 'cause I dont listen to music but you should try posting this in the linux section. I bet you'd get a lot more response. You probably just didnt install the media stuff or something like that...If you look at tucows.com you could maybe find some mp3 playing software.

The mpg123 plugin for Red Hat 9 can be downloaded here. This plugin is needed to play mp3 files

can ne one recommend a linux 9.0 mpg and other video player, and the site to download it from. the default linux media player doesnt play my videos, just like it doesnt play the mp3z.
