I've installed ActivePerl 5.6.1 on my Windows ME machine. All seemed fine until I tried to run the example program. I can see it in the directory, but when I run it I get "bad command or file name" I run it by simply typing example.pl at the command prompt in the directory where this file is located.
Any suggestions? Note: I've also tried to install MySQL and gotten the same error message when I tested the installation. However, I've been able to run Java programs just fine from the MS-DOS window. Thanks for your help.
