I want to replace datas in excel.

I want to replace all the special characters in the excel sheet with the help of some unix command is that possible?

We have to do some repeated work of replacing all the special characters in the excel sheet with space i have to automate it with some commands. Please help.

What special characters are you talking about?
I wasn't aware that Execl accepted any special characters as input.

The special characters are ! @ # $ % ^ & ( )

These characters has to be replaced by space. Could you please help me for that.
