I know I could just not respond and shut up, as opposed to the cynisism, but I'm rather bored. <lecture> I'm a big supporter of following the rules. In this day and age, I realize that is a very "uncool" philosophy, but I think society, as a whole, would benefit from people not trying to beat the system, and let the system govern itself. You cheat on the game, the game is no longer fun to play for those who follow the rules, those who made the game don't get visitors, the site goes out of business, and now there's no games for anyone play. Those whom you call "nice people" I call "stupid people". They have no thought to the impact of their actions. They aren't really nice in the long run...They are putting people out of business and depriving the world of a good source of entertainment. I consider myself a "nice person", but I try not to be nice to one person at another's expense. </lecture> As to the changing of your IP...you would be correct if you were on a dial-up connection...Your IP address usually changes every time you connect. With a cable ISP, your modem is connected all the time. The modem has the IP address, not your computer, and it won't give it up (or renew it) without disconnecting it from power or the cable. Even so, most cable companies (at least the ones I have used) will still give you the same IP even after disconnecting and reconnecting the modem. Let's put all the previous paragraph aside and say you found some nice, shortsighted person to write this program for you, and your cable company has a very strange system that allows you to do all of this. At the VERY least, all your hits will come from the same IP address range, and whoever is running the game, if they're worth their salt, will notice this. They'll know you cheated, and give whatever the prize is to the next person. If I were running the game site, I would have software that sends a red flag whenever anybody gets a significant number of hits from the same ip address range. Then it's "Ban city", baby. well i dont like to cheat in games either but in this game there are pepole that cheats...some of em pay to the site (wich is not cheating) and some of them do what i wanted to do and they are above everyone else as for the guy who said that i cant change my ip in cable modem well i dont know about you but i can i did it manually but i get sick and tired from being on the computer an hour and a half and connect enter a site and disconnect something like 200 or 300 times a day ( and if i do it manually thats not cheating by the game rules) it will be easier for me to just run a program and the guy with the lecture i didnt meant you when i say that pepole can shut up and not response i meant fozzy :)

Some Facts: 1) cheating makes the game suck. 2) cheating makes other players hate you. 3) cheating makes people ban you from their games. 4) cheating makes people stop playing a game. 5) cheating over-time will make you bored with the game. 6) cheating, ultimately makes you stop cheating and move on... With that in mind, I can save you the time... and you can just jump straight to 6. Stop cheating and move on... True to form, IR has expressed my views on the matter much more succinctly than I could have. Props brudda. Out of curiosity, how have you changed your IP address manually with a cable modem? Who is your provider? Back in the old days you used to be able to telnet into your modem and release and renew IPs from there, but most cable companies don't let you do that anymore. As for winning the game, I have two suggestions and a comment: 1) e-mail the guys who are in charge of the site and make sure they have a way of recognizing that all of somebody's hits are coming from the same ip range...I can't believe any webmaster worth their salt wouldn't know how to do this. If they don't know how to do it, tell them they can hire me to do it for them for a very reasonable price:-) 2) If people cheat, then why is the game fun? Leave them to cheat, and go find something else, as IR suggested. I guess I just don't understand why it's important... comment) You should note that I suspect Don Arnett wrote a program that did this on hotornot.com...It gave him the highest rating available something like 2000 times a day. I wasn't being cynical, just sarcastic. Many successful people admittedly didn't "play by the rules." But they tend to deal with criticism better and can take a joke. If you ask a bunch of strangers to do your work for you, you've gotta expect some negative responses. I considered the shut up and not response option, but I wanted to make a point about how your statement, (which technically wasn't a request) came across. Try walking onto a crowded city sidewalk and announcing "I need someone to get me a cab." My guess is you'll hear words much harsher than mine.

If after reading these replies you still wanna cheat goto a site like www.freeware.com and download something that will record your pc actions (macro) they require no programming and you just hit record and it will record whatever your mouse and keyboard movements do, then you tell it to do it infinite times and it will continuously load a site and close it. It sucks to cheat in life, but I'll spare you the drama these people gave you, I'm interested in helping so I hope this will achieve that, please msg back and tell me if it helped.
