Your answer to question one is the as the question How long is a piece of string. It depends on what you want to do. Front Page is a good place to start but does have its limitations. As for hosting there are so many options that without knowing what you are trying to achieve then it is just guess work. In answer to the second question, you can design a simple web site using front page without knowing anything about HTML. Front Page generates its own HTML but if you want to do anything beyond dead simple, then some knowledge of HTML will be necessary. Stuart
