Reply: (edit)1) Open notepad. 2) Write password in notepad file. 3) Create new folder. 4) Name new folder. 5) Put notepad file with password in folder.

Reply: (edit)Are you asking for a program to write to a text file that contains your passwords, that is located in you personal directory\folder? If so, what language? Infinite Recursion

Reply: (edit)I believe cris means 'on' when he/she is saying 'in'. I think that he/she is asking how to apply a password to a folder so that you have to enter the password to access the folder. Just my guess. I don't believe this is possible without special software. I used something called 'Sentry98' once but it effects the entire system and you had to be careful with it because if you installed it wrong, you could lock yourself out of your system.

Reply: (edit)If you are asking how to assign a password to a folder, depending on how the system is laid out, you can also use NTFS permissions to enhance security to files and folders. By right clicking them and choosing the security tab. You can allocate which user can view which file / resource. This will not work with FAT. Infinite Recursion

Reply: (edit)My last reply was out of ambiguity of the topic. Use WinZip and password protect your files when zipping them in the archive. This would be the simplest manner to deal with password protection of your files. -Rolos

Reply: (edit)Better yet us ZipMagic which accesses zip files as folders in explorer on the fly. Any folders that are actually zip files with a password, you will be prompted for. borelli34

Reply: (edit)yes i want to put it on my personal folder. zip is good, but the file inside this folder is must be archive or it can read, because its a source code program. but its lock with the password? only admin can or the programmer can access the file.
