How to ping someones ip anonymously?
I have a batch program that pings my friens ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx...
It Counter Strike 1.6 server, and I don't want him to see my IP adress...
I tried to hide my ip with programs like: IP Shark, Hide my IP, Super IP hide
But they hide my IP only for the webbrowsers....
And when I tracert friends ip - it shows that patch go directly to friends server... No proxy server IP detected...
? How shall I hide my IP when pinging other IP from my pc? NOT while browsing (anonymous browsing)
Why would you want to hide your IP address from a "friend"? Sounds rather suspect to me. When you ping a remote server the packets have to contain your IP address. Else how would the remote server know where to send the replies to? You can't hide on the Internet, even from your "friend".
Why this preoccupation with IP addresses. It is pointless and of no benefit - unless you are up to no good. The only thing an IP address with reveal is your ISP and a very approximate location of where you are. anything else and a court order is required.
