How to get last months date in KSH?

Is there a way to get last months date? Like if I say : echo "Amit P`date +"%Y_%m"` MY_TABLE" gives me Amit P2005_08 MY_TABLE How can I get last month..07. Amit P2005_07 MY_TABLE ?
