Do you mean run an external; application form within VB? If so then there are various ways of doing it. The simplest is the Shell command.

Shell application, Widow style. You put this in the Buttons click event.

Windows style determines of the the application runs minimized or full screen. The VB help files will tell give you all the information you need.

Don't understand what you mean by run after compilation, If it runs in the IDE it will run after compilation. All you have to do is to make sure the shell command can find the application and that usually means a full pathname if the application is not in the active directory or the or the existing predefined paths.
