Hi I am not sure if you can help me . I have a very large invoice file with about 8000 invoices in the file. I need to sort the file into invoices that contain one pageof transactions, invoices that contain two pages of transactions, invoices that contain three pages of tranactions and so on . The first word in every invoice is SI_INVHEAD and this only appears at the start of the invoice the end of every invoice is ~~~ but this does appear throughout each invoice also. I need to sort the file keeping its content static but changing the order of each invoice so all the one page invoices come together followed by all the two page invoices up until the final invoice that can contain 30 pages . Is this possible or do i need to manually sort it after I print out the file. Thanks for Your Help. Martin P.S. I have very little software knowledge and I tried this with Textpad by bookmarking the SI_INVHEAD and putting in line numbers but i couldn't go any further
