how do i make text editor using turbo pascal

Specs: Windows XP
I got an idea of having a project in turbo pascal because we have finished the required syllabus but i have no idea where to start..
if possible you can help me with this
1) would like to know the requirements for making text editor.
2) my turbo pascal knowledge covers all the basic pascal programming up to arrays,string,record and files. so is my knowledge enough to accomplish the project if not then what else do i need.
3) help me with the basic codes and how to start making a text editor.

A text editor is the same in any programming language. Input and display characters. Combine the characters into string(s). Format strings into words and display on screen. Have routines to write and read to file. There should be examples on the internet.

i tried to check it in different webs but couldn't find it.. so if you can help me with the codes then it's gonna be better for me.

This may help...

I think most of them are in Delphi because Delphi takes advantage of Windows API.

Good luck most people do not try to reinvent the wheel so you are going to have a hard time with this. If I was your teacher I would suggest you do a different project a game or something.
