I am an undergraduate student in the 3rd year of university.I have learned are the basics of C and very small about java. I have also some concepts of database. Now I am required to choose a database project with a interface as a academic project. I want to choose a nice project not a easy one.I also want to avoid the following ideas for the project : Business buying or selling. Real estate. School, library, university systems Hospital or pharmaceutical system. Car renting system Hotel reservation or registration or likewise systems. I don't know what project to choose? Please, Can anyone suggest on me what project to choose? And if there is any other advise? Thanks in advance.

Maybe some kind of Database for your entertainment center media? Movies, with filterable genres and previews. Video games, keep track of them, and log cheats. Keep track of which of your friends borrowed stuff etc... You pretty much limited it down to personal DB's.

futures (commodities) and stocks? (might not be "complex" enough though (not enough dimensions)).
