Hey guys,
Im looking for a program that can draw a diagram of a house plan based on the information you give it, for example tell it that you want a three story house with x bedrooms on 2nd floor, x bathrooms etc and the size of each room
My parents are thinking of moving and they found some houses that all list the number of rooms and sizes and i wanna show them an example of how each house would look

Im a biginner programmer and dont know much but if i cant find a program like this i would like to attempt to try and make one, im using visual basic 2005 express and learning through a series of beginner videos

Can anyone help me out here or give me some advice i know it sounds stupid but its very important to me and my family...
thx a million
neeed any more info just ask

You have to give the dimensions of each room and its location to even start drawing a floor plan. There are some simple 3-D house plan programs, but you still have to input the details.

You might try one of the many CAD programs available.

Some programs have macros or libraries so you can configure furniture and appliances.

Do you have any first person games? For instance I have Counter-strike source and Day of Defeat Source. Those games have a world editor called Hammer. Most games have a world editor of some kind and for some you can get the world editor without buying the game. The cool thing about possible making your model in Hammer is that when you are done with the map you can walk through the house in first person just like you would if you were playing a game. It might take a while before you can make a decent model, but the same goes for any cad program.

It would be very difficult to make such a model with any program without a floorplan of the house - ie just knowing how many rooms and what size. And if you had a floor plan then you probably would not need to do what you asked. A catch 22.
