this website has free code samples and if you click on that link, towards the bottom of the page theres an area called 'Window Manipulation' and minimizing to the system tray is on there..
also, you may want to have a look at this article.. it makes a reference to vb6 but its a .net site
also, this article also refers to .net but i'm pretty sure you could produce similar code to achieve this.
