Help creating logparser .bat file

June 5, 2011 at 23:46:06
Specs: Windows XP
im trying to create a .bat for logparser that accept user input for the syntax. example:
user clicks batfile then .bat file asks:
Input file type:
user types "w3c."
Output File type:
user types "csv"
Basically builds the comand line for it just ask the user whats the specific data for a pre built syntax.

Ex: logparser -i:w3c -o:csv so on and so forth until the line for the command is built at which point it will execute.

New to Batch file creation involving user interaction any idea how???

I dunno but you could experiment with:

set /p Input=Input file type:
set /p Output=Output file type:
echo logparser -i:%Input% -o:%output%

Obviously the final line will need to be altered to execute the exe, over to you.

Good luck
