I have a batch file that connects to a server and uses MPUT to place the files to the remote server. Found out yesterday that the named user in my batch file had a security problem and could not PUT the files. How do I capture these errors and notify someone that the job failed? Email would be ideal, but I'd consider any kind of notification.
redirect the output of the script to a text file, serach that text file for string "Error" or something like that. and opon successful find use an third pary application to notify the user. there are lot of freewares avilbale to send email using batch files.
