SQL is a language...Not a product. You can write SQL in all kinds of database systems - Access, mySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.

I doubt VB6 comes with any of the database products mentioned above, unless it's some special non-standard package.

Good luck,

SN,

Un gros bravo!

Let me try to rephrase everything for you.

My questions are:
Is Microsoft SQL Server comes with Visual Studio 6.0 suite? If yes, which one of the installation CDs has it?

I'm sorry I may have confused you. Bear with me; I'm not that intelligent.

You clarified your question, but then you reversed it...First you asked if VB6 comes with SQL, and now you ask if SQL comes with VB6.

Either way, the answer is no...At least not in any retail, msdn, or enterprise package I'm aware of.

However, you can certainly download MSDE or SQL Server Express Edition for free, both of which are nearly identical to their pricey SQL server counterparts (2000 for MSDE, 2005 for express) except that you're limited to only a couple simultaneous connections. If that's a problem, I'd use mySQL instead.

Good Luck,
-SN

SN,

L'erreur est du domaine the l'homme.

You have not read my second post right!

I can't remember; however, I’m sure that I have heard it:
Visual Studio 6.0 enterprise edition came with Microsoft SQL. It is hidden in one of the installation CDs.
