Find FullName (WMI?)

Specs: Windows XP
We're moving our mail system from GroupWise to a hosted Exchange solution using Outlook Anywhere. I need to do an Outlook profile rollout. I've created a PRF file to create the profiles, but our domain's username convention is jsmith, and the new Exchange domain is joe.smith.

By default, the PRF file references %USERNAME%, and that works, but you get two error screens where you have to change the name.

I won't go into all the details, but the joe.smith way is set in stone.

So I'm assuming there's a way to use WMI to pull the firstname/lastname fields, or the displayname field, which I could parse with %VARIABLE: =.% (That would work for 99% of our users)

I've done some searching but have come up pretty empty.

And where, exactly, do you expect WMI to get this information? Do you at least have Active Directory?

Yes, of course. I'm sorry, is this not something WMI can do?

Whatever is displayed at the top of the Start Menu in XP, I'd like to store that in a variable. Is that doable?
