Find, Copy, Paste VBA

Specs: Windows XP
I am new to the world of VBA. In a nut shell I have created a Dashboard which allows for user input i.e. monthly selection. I have made notes based on my findings. I would like the VBA to search based on the selection (by the user), find and paste my notes in area I have left open for it in the Dashboard. So should the user want to go back in history the notes for that specific month will found and pasted in the Dashboard.

Please can anyone please help, i'm getting very frustrated!

personally I do it all manually with the macro recorder set to ON
The resulting code is a very good start to understand how VBA likes to do things. There are times when it does not record workable code - but that is exceedingly rare.
Change the location references to your liking (using variables if necessary).
Where is the input text? do you use InputBox?

You don't say where the VBA is running. Word, Excel or (heaven forbid) Outlook.
It makes a difference. Like - is the dashboard a cell? a Form? A selected area of text in Word?

Best of luck - I generate whole HTML pages in VBA - though they are largely tabular.
