Hello im working on a Perl Program in Linux which will act as a POP3 client and i am wondering if anyone knows how it is possible to execute an external program or shell script from within my program. For instance, we need to be able to restart Apache or Jakarta when a certain email message is recieved.. Does anyone know how this is possible?

Thanks,
Adam
