Excel error message when using link

I have a spreadsheet with links to photos on my hard disk. When I click the link, I get this: --------------- Opening D:\Photos\interim\0404.tif

OK Cancel ------------ I set the security to "low". And I went through the Tools>Options. But I cannot find a way to get rid of this annoying popup. Any ideas?
