dos mode printing using crystal reports

i am working on an ERP project using following combination a) crystal reports-6 b) visual basic-6 c) SQL server-7 we have an NT server and Windows-9x workstations the problem is with the speed of printing at which crystal reports prints.It taKES A LONG time.We need printing speed similar to dos. R u of some help?

The idea would be to install a generic text printer and redesign ur reports in such a way that the print out is of the format u needed. This the only possibility i believe
