do i need to learn c before c++

im just wondering if i need to start of with c before i go on to c++ ive already done a fair bit of visual basics and want to learn more of the c language.

Well, C++ is a superset of C so by learning C++ you will be learning C and more. It is probably worthwhile to learn some of the C functions that are rarely used in C++ programming (printf and scanf) but you should be fine without specificly learning C first.

Yea, I just started off by first learning C++ (although, it was a course...). Anywho, I didn't find it too difficult. Give it a try.

Ye jump right into C++... It's good that you have a background in VB, that should make programing in C++ a lot easier than if you were starting from scratch. Piece of cake. good luck.

C++ is a powerful tool. I skipped C altogether because C mostly incorporates the C basics on the way. A good place to go is www.howstuffworks.com. They have a really good crash tutorial on C++
