Hi,
When I use the Discussion Web Wizard in FrontPage 2002 I can make the Discussion pages and when I Publish my pages to the web site and click on see my page now the discussion works...I can post messages, but when I use internet explorer on any computer(including the one that I have Ffrontpage on) when i click on post message in the discussion board it goes to a page that says:"FrontPage Error.
User:please report details to theis site's webmaster.
Webmaster:please see the server's system log for more details."
Now i know i should check the servers system log but i do not know how to. I am hosting my site through Yahoo, and I know how to sigh on but do not know how to look at my log file. Sorry for the long message but i have been frustrated with this for the longest time and any help would be greatful.
Kyle

I guess since nobody else has responded with anything more useful than what I have to say, I'll give it a go.
The reason you haven't gotten any responses is because this is the programming forum, and programmers (for the most part) loathe front page. Most of us probably weren't even aware that frontPage had a "discussion board wizard", and so we don't know what language it is written in, etc.
To do a discussion board, you need to have some kind of server side program to read in the posts, and output them to the screen or a file. I don't know how front page accomplishes this, but I doubt server side scripts are allowed at all on any free hosting that Yahoo provides.
You need to find a different host, or you can use one of those services that hosts your discussion board for you (I can't remember what they are, if you want to give this a try, post back and I'll search out the links...I think Dr.Nick knows them)
Sorry I couldn't be of more help,
-SN

If I am not mistaken, Yahoo.com does not support front page in that way, you need to either host your site locally and run PHP on an Apache webserver or an equivalent... or find another ISP.
