Hi bear with me i'm a new student studying database admin

if i want to select a value between certain dates on a table how do i do it?
for example i'm working on an assingment and i wish to create a new table which automatically updates with a running total the table is a stock monitoring one.
stockopen(newtable) = stock incoming - (sales + wastage) i have built the tables with a productid (for incoming, sales and wastage)

the end result should contain the current date and the current total of a given product in stock
the stock is for a bar if that helps at all for ease of explanation you can explain using simple products such as 1 bottle of coke = product id 1
