Specs: Windows 2003
I want to copy the contents of a folder with a delay of 10seconds after copying every file. Help me in writing the witndows batch script for this.

eg:- source c:\abc
contents of c:\abc: file1, file2, file3, file4

After copying file1 wait for 10 seconds, then copy file2 then wait for 10 seconds and so on. It must include sub folders and their contents too. So I want a program that copies all files including sub folders with a time delay of 10 seconds after each file copy operation.

An inquiring mind might wonder what you hope to achieve. But here you go.

@echo off & setLocal EnableDELAYedeXpansion

for /f "tokens=* delims= " %%a in ('dir/b/s/a-d') do (
echo. copy "%%a" d:\dest
ping -n 1 -w 10000 > nul

This is for a special case where I have to copy huge amount of data from a source folder to destination folder. The destination is a compressed folder. Source is not compressed. The speed of data transfer is not getting synchronized with the speed of compression at the destination(i.e. when the data reaches the destination it would be busy in compressing the data already reached there, which makes a delay in synch, which causes data to be missed out). I want to maintain a delay in copying each file thereby reduce lack of synch.
