Connect to a Network Location

March 30, 2010 at 17:07:10
Specs: Windows Vista
What are the Batch file commands to connect
to a network server/location?

Normally I'd just type "\\name" into the Vista
search/run box, which would allow me to
connect to the server. However, then I'd have
to manually input my username and password,
etc.

What are the Batch commands to connect to
a server and can I pass parameters
(username, password) that will allow the BAT
file to sign me in?

Let me know.

H:\>net use /?
The syntax of this command is:

NET USE
[devicename | *] [\\computername\sharename[\volume] [password | *]]
        [/USER:[domainname\]username]
        [/USER:[dotted domain name\]username]
        [/USER:[username@dotted domain name]
        [/SMARTCARD]
        [/SAVECRED]
        [[/DELETE] | [/PERSISTENT:{YES | NO}]]

NET USE {devicename | *} [password | *] /HOME

NET USE [/PERSISTENT:{YES | NO}]
