Client area and scroll bar

Yes. A scroll bar is part of the client area of a window by the mere fact that it is not part of the title bar or edges.

What are you trying to do?
What language are you using?

im using Visual C++ MFC and learning to program windows.
I was just curious if a scroll bar was counted in the client area or not.

Also it keeps mentioning something about a ribbon.... is that the area the thumb travels across?
