Solved Check string for special characters

Specs: Windows 10, Intel i7 4770k, 32GB 1600MHz RAM
Working on some kind of installation script in batch.

The script needs to be able to tell wether the path it's in contains special characters, like Û, ™, æ, ø, å, ©, etc..

How would I check a string for one or more of there characters if they aren't processed as said characters in the command processor (as in "Û" becomes a black bar, "å" becomes a cross, etc.)?

Don't worry if plan A fails, there are 25 more letters in the alphabet ;)

You really can't, at least not reliably, in batch. Your best bet is to just assume the person running your batch is honest and correct, and watch to see if your commands that use the user's input fail.
