Can I get the URL into a batch variable ?

Specs: Windows XP Pro SP3
Is there a way to get the actual URL in the browser´s address bar into a batch variable?

The only possible way I can think or is get a third party utility like nircmd and use sendkeys......

I immediatly looked for Nircmd in the web and.. wow! what a fantastic tool, Judago! Thanks for the hint. It will be useful to me in many ways.

Actually there is a way to do it in a batch file, it's an ugly and
unreliable solution though. You basically read the names of the
programs running...
