Hello every1!! :D
OK...I'm tired of sending my C# programs to my friends and then being told that a weird error message with a command prompt behind it appeared...
Wanna know why?? no .NET Framework!! :(
Is there any way that I can include the C# .NET Framework runtime files with my program?? if yes, will it take much space??
Once I heard about a "nLite" program that did include these files, but I forgot where I heard it!! :(
Thanx!! ;)

Just tell them to get the files from Windows Update...
Either that, or write your program using a more portable language..

I doubt that would actually be such a good idea, since the .NET installer is roughly 20MB, and packaging it with an application that isn't going to be distributed on a CD is not very viable.

Your best bet is to use the deployment system to create an installation that would detect the lack of .NET and point them to the right site for the download (either to Windows Update, or the installer itself which lurks somewhere in the Microsoft Download Central)

Yeah...but...they said that there is a way of putting the C# runtime files in your package and that it'll only take up 4 MB...
Thanx!! :D

Who said that? I think the .NET framework has to be installed in order for .NET applications (that are written in Managed Code, or CLR format) to run. And that is much bigger than 4Meg.

Well then...is there a C# to C++ converter?? or maybe a C# to Visual Basic or something similar??
Thanx!! ;)

Btw, all I found on Google was C++ to C#, but not C# to C++... :(
