C Direct Memory Access

Sco Openserver r5.0.x development system...

Specs: SCO Openserver 5.0.5
I'm running a SCO OpenServer Unix, and want to access ( read and write ) directly ( bit level ) in a memory address who is assigned to the parallel port, and get control of that port and the device how is attached to it, which is a PIC microcontroller.

The C language included in my OS, has not some libraries that are common for windows, so I need find one that is normally found in a Unix enviorement, or one that is portable to Unix, and bring a function or command to read and write direct a bit in a specific memory address.

I have been working with "read()" and "write()", but these don't let me select a memory address as input or output, or I am missing something with these ones ??

The _inp() and _outp() I can't find them in my libraries, equal for inportb() and outportb()

Any help will be appreciate

You may do better to post in the Unix or Programming forums.

This is the Office Software forum which is for issues with programs such as Excel and Word.

Use a different Title when re-posting.
