Hello all, i'm having a bit of trouble with my basic C program. I'm not all to good with C as it stands anyway, so managed to find this place. I've been asked to make a program that is a little like auto trader if you will. But its for motorbikes. I basically have to write, read and amending a text file. With such things like Add, delete, amend, un delete and other such things the program would need. As you can probably tell i'm not to good with C. But any help would be appreciated. Scotty, So what exactly is the problem. You've been asked to make a program in C and you don't know C? Can you make it in a language you DO know? If you don't know any languages, why would someone ask you to make them a program? Let me tell you first hand, C is not something you are going to pick up overnight. The learning curve for C, C++, Perl, and Java is quite a bit higher than say Visual Basic. If you don't know any languages, and the target platform is Windows, use VB, you might actually be able to complete the program. If the target is unix, then C/C++ is a good choice, Java would do well too. Since I can't tell exactly how much you have completed, or where your actual problem lies, I can't really give you anything more specific than what I have written above.
