can someone be so kind as to advise me on a good book to get me started with PHP/mySQL and ways of using databases in a website.
i'm in a library and there's hundreds on the shelves. I always wondered which were the best books.

I know that O'Reilly makes some good books imho, and that the MySQL book I have by them (by that title) is really great. I'm pretty sure they've got a PHP book too, but I don't own it. That's my 2 cents, there are plenty out there. Good luck on your future projects.
