Specs: Windows 2003
Hi everyone,

I'd like to ask if there is a way I can transfer a file from one FTP server (source) to another FTP server (destination, a database ftp) without having to download the files in the computer running the batch script first?

Batch script? No. You need a client capable of connecting to two servers in a session (like UNIX ftp's proxy command), and Window's ftp client does not. Window's telnet isn't scriptable either, so your Windows included options aren't much.

I don't know of any scriptable COM objects for what you're doing, so VBScript is out of the question.

If you have PowerShell installed (and why would you on a Win2K3 box), you can do it by manually using TCP sockets to manually send raw FTP commands.

Thanks! You're right. After some reading I found out about FXP and I'm currently trying to implement it in Java using FTPClient.
