I need to create a batch file that will clear the "browse in same window check box" from the Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types tab -> .xls -> Advanced. My problem is that I have an Excel file on a website that should be opened with MS Excel, but when I have users clicking the link to download, the file opens in Internet Explorer instead, so the macros fail. There are many users and I don't know all the machines that have this "browse in same window box checked". So if a batch file can be created to fix this, things would go so much easier for my users. Thank you for your help.

Tammy
